Presentation scanner

Presentation scanners are fixed-position countertop readers that allow you to read a barcode with your hands free, without holding a portable reader (handheld) but directly presenting the object with the barcode in front of the reader itself.

They can be tabletop or built-in, the latter are used in supermarket checkout points.

They are widely used in points of sale: retail stores, wholesale stores, large-scale distribution.
